Principal Rafael Balderas Visits Doha, Qatar

Principal Rafael Balderas attended the 2013 World Summit for Education this month in Doha, Qatar, and its pre-conference meeting titled Global Educators’ Workshop: Learning and Leading for the 21st Century.
Mr. Balderas’ visit to Qatar, from Oct. 27 – Oct. 31, was sponsored by Qatar Foundation International to explore how innovation and cross- cultural collaboration in education foster 21st-Century competencies.
The Global Educators’ Workshop, hosted in cooperation with the Supreme Education Council of Qatar, convened 30 select principals and vice principals from local Qatari schools with 12 of their counterparts from schools across the United States and Brazil.
While there, workshop participants designed an international learning community that promotes concrete collaborations between schools through the design and implementation of cross-cultural educational projects.
